Free Workshop for Survivors of Suicide Loss: Finding Hope and Healing

Native Americans for Community Action, Inc. (NACA) is sponsoring a Community forum for Survivors of Suicide Loss on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in Flagstaff. Please mark your calendars and register. The event is free but registration is required because sitting is limited to 30 participants.
As a suicide loss survivor, learning valuable strategies for healing can help foster resilience in your grief journey. This interactive workshop, led by Dr. Jack Jordan, a nationally recognized expert in suicide bereavement research and clinical practice, will feature Q&A and topics including:
• The impact of suicide on individuals and families
• How suicide grief is different than other types of grief
• The misconceptions (and realities) of grief recovery
• Things survivors can do to support themselves
• Knowing when to seek professional help
PRESENTER: John (Jack) Jordan, Ph.D., F.T.
Dr. Jordan is an internationally renowned researcher and clinician in the field of suicide bereavement. He has specialized in work with survivors for more than 35 years. Dr. Jordan is the professional advisor to AFSP’s Loss and Healing Council. Among other books, Dr. Jordan is the co-author of After Suicide Loss: Coping with Your Grief, now available in a second edition.
